Ahhhh I wish I could make it!

The ones I love best are the stories when people say how heartwarming it is that a cripple worked three jobs to pay for their prescriptions bc they're just so gosh darn plucky and determined, and wouldn't it be great if all the cripples could do that?

Today's stream may be a little late, as I'm currently stuck on the side of a highway having car trouble. No collisions, and I'm perfectly okay, thank goodness. I'll keep you updated.

Hey y'all, I love to talk about a little company called Persona. This company offers age verification services. I decided this morning to read their privacy policy, and I'd love to share some really fun facts with you.

The scenario that's playing out right now, where making this kind of threat BECOMES the controversial thing they're doing damage control over, is the exact thing they DON'T want to happen because they now have to explain WHY they're making threats, and surprise, they don't come out looking good!

Like the usual playbook for them is to privately threaten platforms to stop supporting certain content (to avoid any form of controversy-by-association) or else they take away the platform's ability to process transactions. Platforms capitulate & (up to now) take most of the heat

Kind of staggered at how impactful the #SaveSpeech campaign against MC/Visa/Paypal/Stripe's adult content policies has been. In just over a week we've gone from CCs and paypros exerting power over platforms from the shadows to being forced to make public statements (that can then be pulled apart)
