Huh. I did something which made my system load go up to 140 and filled 32gb of ram and 8gb of swap. Desktop wasn't responsive at all, but I could ssh in from another system and ran top and killed some stuff. I expected to have to reboot, but it all just sorted itself out. Good job, modern Linux!

(Someone else did the logo. Our kid did the colors. The CSS and HTML is all by hand. The JavaScript and ecommerce is Lightspeed eCom, and annoyingly they make calls to some of _their_ providers that can't be easily avoided. But other than that, no off-site resources or trackers.)

It's _so_ much faster than the old Shopify site, and also (if I do say so myself) much nicer.

I don't love it because it can be flow-breaking to switch my brain to editorial mode.

What I want is something that lets me click on something I just changed and makes a small commit of that.

I don't think this really helps me with scattered random chances, though.

I am on the bus to the airport in Prague, and am surround by old British men with whichever accent it is where every sentence ends with either "innit" or "an' that".

Is there a vscode plugin which automatically notices when you are adding comments or fixing typos in random parts of the codebase and breaks them out into their own distinct commits? As an undisciplined coder making things up as i go along, I don't know how to deal with this.
