This little mouse girl made from clay scraps is only a little bigger than my thumb. I imagine she's dressed in petals from my rose.

Three kittens playing. Wooden sculpted cat, provenance unknown.

Shells, sticks and other found objects were pressed into a clay tile to sculpt a landscape. Placing the tile in the sunlight has created strong shadows which gives the appearance of craters on the surface of a planet.

The same tile has been painted in pastel tones to mimic the shapes created by bacteria. I looked at images of bacteria and viruses from under microscopes for inspiration. These are not accurate representations but am artistic interpretation.

With or without colour? The #sunlight made shadows creating an #alien like landscape. The #bacteria like cells stand out more in colour. I used found objects to #sculpt this from #airdryclay. #marchintolandscapes #MakersmARTch #SmArtist #BlueSkyArtShow #ArtYear
