y’know…i’ve always thought of isak’s run from the church to the school as like, him saving even. but it’d also just your classic romantic comedy run. the «oh, i love him» run. harry to sally. william to anna. bridget to mark. isak to even.

it was probably actually a really stressful time but now i’m like….i would love it if an online poll was the biggest of my concerns right now.

eight years ago we were losing sleep and brain cells over an entertainment website’s tv ship tournament while henke was skiing with family in the alps. what a time. and now he’s back.

found isak and even on duolingo again.

even feels safe and smiles. the crowd knows what’s coming next too. he shoves his empty cup into his back pocket. five, six, five, six, seven, eight! even snaps and claps and body rolls. he sends his arms up for the H and wide for the T.

“ow!”

he pushes. he apologizes. he holds his cup above people’s heads and pretends he’s trying to find his friends. he makes it about halfway into the crowd when he decides to stop. he knows the set list, that hot to go comes next. he ends up next to a guy whose curls bounce as he tries not to dance.

even has five minutes left on his shift at the beer tent. he can hear femininomenon. he’s dancing at the tap, trying to ignore the assholes at the till. and then he’s free! he grabs half of a cup to chug on the run over to the crowd, but he’s already feeling hopeless. the crowd is huge.

the crowd gets louder on its own. it’s packed. it’s dark. isak feels safe and smiles. he sings.

isak heads over to her stage early enough to get a good spot, but he’s not barricade. he is alone, though, having left his friends in the beer line. he scrolls on instagram and finishes his drink and tries to look uninterested. people fill in around him. he ignores his friends texts looking for him.

isak is excited too, but mostly because she’s popular enough that going to see her doesn’t mean he’s gay. which he’s not. he just…is interested in being around queer people. watching a queer person on the stage. he’s curious. and she has GREAT outfits. but like, everyone loves her outfits.

even has volunteered for the festival again. he’s been practicing his hot-to-go dance. he’s hoping his assignment doesn’t interfere with when chappel plays. he’s so excited.
