I'm here only for the following tab, I'm using this platform as a fancy RSS client there's no possible or feasible way to view the other feeds as anything "useful", that's increasingly frustrating in a social platform meant to be good. Btw, my home is still just a bunch of foxes and animals.

They ban politically/socially important topics in the dark to have a "clean, happy community", and in most times big instances don't even know they are banning this instances without a reason.

Some instances are better than others, the major problem in Fediverse is when instances create groups of trust that bypass any verification of truth.

The real problem is that with this updates and probably a urge to pay less hosting fees, twitter is degrading it's response times, and returning more errors sometimes.

To be fair most people are not addicted enough to rate limits make any difference, and is probably something more dynamic than a static value, in the first many got locked out, but after sometime it's really rare.

Mastodon sucks by being really divisive, most instances will ban you for opinion and form a group of "accepted instances" that follow this rules made by a bunch of admins from the big instances, i'm all in to ban illegal stuff, but most of this groups vote to ban opinions.

What it really needs is to fasten the development and be more responsive, many things here are not even close to being good enough to capture the users.
