I've been thinking about this georgous georgous video essay from Sarah Davis Baker for days!!! As a defender of the tv adaptation of Silo, i was easily convinced but this is such a beautifully crafted deep-dive into bunkers and end-of-the-world-tech in popular culture.

Honestly have such respect for film writers who have to watch several movies a day during festival season. I watched exactly two films at the theatre this weekend and it took me a whole day to emotionally recuperate.

Reviving this thread, I watched the 2014's La Belle et la Bête, which really reminded me how two things can be true at the same time - I hated this so, so very much, and also, beautiful stunning costumes.
