You are in the right group of animals (rodents), but think small, much smaller. Hope you enjoyed the podcast as much as I enjoyed picking apart the pellet!🤗

Heather, this obviously ain’t your first rodeo! Or should I say, owl pellet!🤗 Enjoy the podcast. I think you’ll get a kick out of it. It’s only 8 minutes listening time.

Bald Eagles overwinter where there is open water - and when conditions are freezing and humid, it makes for some amazing scenes. Eagles and hoar frost play nicely together in juxtaposition and polarity. #birds

Two Red Squirrels poke their heads our of a cavity in a tree trunk.

American Red Squirrels are fiesty, fiery, forest firecrackers that seem to be either chattering or chasing some one or some thing.
But every now and then, you get a glimpse of their softer side. Their calm demeanor never does seem to last for too long. #mammals.

While most songbirds have left the Rocky Mountains for the freezing times ahead - one special exception remains. The antics of American Dippers are so enjoyable, they make up for the lack of many other #birds.

As wetlands freeze over to the north, waters that remain open will draw in migrating waterbirds. Today, our local river was a magnet for ducks, geese and grebes. #birds

I thought there was a chance that this cat skull that I found might be a Bobcat and a good record for S #AB. But see that tiny premolar- that makes this an unlucky House Cat that must have wandered far from the farm.
