Yes i totally agree and for me the looming dread and sense of disappointment that a driver might be out of the running early really takes away a lot of enjoyment.

I think i figured out why this is the case. They are all people who love Football so the 'finals' thing seems great to them. I personally have no interest at all in Football and as such the whole concept seems stupid. Trying to "footballise" motorsports is daft and unnecessary.
