Everyone on the Freedom Flotilla knew *exactly* who they were dealing with and the most likely outcome of their actions. They knew there was a greater than 50% chance they would not survive, and they did it anyway.

It was a sacrifice of perhaps their lives to force international action. Damn.

Between Greta Thunberg and her fellow activists being kidnapped by Israel and Trump turning LA into his personal war zone, I hope people realise that protest, no matter how peaceful, will always be met with violence by dying empires.
