I've had a day from Hell.

I have no car for months because it's a Citroën C3 and part of the safety recall. I legally am not allowed to drive the car until the airbag is replaced, and I don't have a date for that yet - they say September at the earliest.

No courtesy car, no compensation, nothing.

I did something similar in the end, thank you 🖤

I honestly think AI encourages laziness and is contributing to the 'dumbing down' of society. And that's without considering what it is doing to people's social skills.

I wish we would stop glorifying AI and recognise it for what it is: fancy predictive text, nothing more.

I honestly don't think my life has in any way been improved by AI. It cannot do anything better than I can do myself.

I asked it to write a Harvard reference for something for college, and it just made up a URL. In the same amount of time I could have just checked how to format a Harvard reference.

I'll concede that chatGPT or whatever other AI you use can be a great tool for things like prioritising tasks or turning an idea into something more detailed.

It is not a replacement for interacting with people, it isn't an accurate source of information, and it writes essays that lack personality.

I might quibble with some phrasing, but this is honestly also a startlingly good summation of how and why marginalized people are disproportionately harmed by the proliferation of "AI":

You're being trained to think the machine is "like us" and also to disbelieve us when we tell you it's not.

If Parliament changed a rule they didn't have to change to specifically ban you the day before you were due to turn up to Parliament, you'd think it was targeted, too.

I regularly write to my MP. Since he's entirely incompetent and is incapable of listening to his constituents, preferring instead to only support his own beliefs, with no room for other opinions... I'm sure he will be equally proficient at implementing a weather change 😅

I seriously hope you're correct. My partner is adamant that if we go to war he would sign up to fight, to keep our babies safe.

I don't want to lose the first good man I've ever loved because of a war or raise my kids alone in a time of terror.

He is a genuine narcissist. Not like throwing the world around because I don't like someone. I mean genuinely he presents significant symptoms of NPD and they show in his behaviour. There is no logic, reason, empathy or regard for consequences 😭
