Went out tracking today in Tuskegee, AL! Found a bunch of good stuff, not all pictured but including: raccoon, coyote, virginia opossum, white tailed deer, white footed mouse, and also ant lions!

We also found a shockingly complete skull, we think coyote!

like I’m trying to sort out experimental design for one of my thesis chapters and I need to determine the ideal demographic of my model organism—so far, can’t find shit about age/sex/etc impacts on my specific focus. so do I do a whole extra experiment to figure it out myself? maybe. w what $$ tho??

I know being a scientist is so that I can fill the gaps in literature but man do I hate when I have a specific question that’s a gap in the literature and I’m not sure if I’m just stupid and can’t find it or if I have to do a whole extra experiment—
