So, these 2 were my first real attempt at a precise zentangle drawing. I can’t remember the name of this design, but I find it mesmerizing and I really like them. I was also working on better shading.

Initially, I didn't want to use official zentangle tiles to draw on because I didn't want to ruin them. So, I'd use cereal boxes, and other cardboard boxes. This one was from a tea box hence the "20" printed on it.

Official Zentangle tile that I washed with a graphite pencil, then colored pencils, ink drawings, which I then washed again, and lastly, added some highlights with a gel pen.

When I drew this, I hated it. I was about 6 months into my Zentangle journey at the time and struggling with composition. Still am, to be honest. However, now it’s become one of my favorite pieces. I could probably improve the shading some.

I was unhappy with the shading on the previous posting, so I obsessively worked on it some more. 😏

This one started with the large circles and sat for several days as I worked out what I wanted to add, finally deciding on more circles.

Then, as I was adding tipple, the little dots, I thought I should add some color.
