Just finished iron heart episode 3, and I. Really don’t understand how this series is meant for a young audience at all.

Just watched iron heart ep 1, and it was slower, but the heart really shined through. Riri’s story so far is nuanced and Dominique Thorne’s subtle facial expressions are impeccable. This show’s best moments right now are intimate and character driven.

I don’t consider what I did in coming out as an act of defiance. I don’t at all. It’s who I am. That hasn’t changed in 30 years, but I’m still the queer boy I was 30 years ago, too.

If you’re marginalized, my fight is your fight, and we have the same goals.

There were passive signs levied against you if you hadn’t come out yet, and active people in your community who would advocate against you.

I want people to understand what that was like, because it wasn’t great.

I came out in the 90’s. We’re talking pre Ellen shit. I had to deal with that shit every day.

As a German kid, my mom made sure I had Jewish friends, many of whom I’m still close with, and I understand the I have a black friend thing is coming, but people are people.

As an example of my own personal thing, I came out as bi in the 90’s. Not to most welcoming space.
