Food Delivery: Fresh from the West Philippine Sea ('25 Baby Ruth Villarama): Lots of great footage that makes what might feel like a distant issue very, very real.

lastly, it was good to see that documentary photographer and filmmaker, nana buxani, was one of the cinematographers of "food delivery." she is co-director of "minsan lang sila bata" a film on child labor that i saw as a high schooler and have never forgotten.

what i got was a docu that was more... vibes forward. yet, to this privileged manileño, the vibes were incredibly moving. especially the scenes from the supply run to two of our outposts in the west philippine sea.

i think i wanted a little more structure from "food delivery," the documentary that gives us a glimpse into the lives of the military personnel and fisherfolk who inhabit our west philippine sea. a little more definition, to accompany the beautiful footage.
