I actually drove the long way via Portland again this year and reminded me of the first summit after I got the truck when I picked you and Mickey up :)
Good times! Miss you friend

Anyone of my @github friends able to put me in touch with someone who handles nonprofits?
19.02.2025 17:37 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Would you though? Itβs discord, you will just start a slack so you can use it from work π
01.02.2025 05:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Oh cool I used to do that in my youth
Loved taking empty jam jars and decorating them and then putting tea candles in them
Also plates for some reason, I have no idea why plates were good for stained glass work but they looked cool π
Awesome! Will check it out, may help me dig deeper into the good bits of all of mine too :)
Thanks
What are you using to capture the audio bookmarks? That looks super handy :)
14.01.2025 03:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0@nigelpoulton.bsky.social did you finish Daemon and Freedom? What did you think?
08.01.2025 21:16 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Last time I quit a job without something else lined up was when I moved half way around the world
This time it was just to stop having my mental health destroyed by toxic managers π
Hereβs to a chill and revitalizing start to 2025!
This event and community single handedly changed the trajectory of my career, as the infrastructure we support grows in scale and complexity the ability to automate and codify is more and more critical

04.01.2025 20:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0yeah i have Fedora running on my Framework because the fans were just constantly running under Win11 with like zero (of my) workloads, sad how far its fallen, was just telling someone this is the first version of windows I have not been all in on since 3.1
30.12.2024 17:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I usually make them individual size in a muffin tin, tend to get a good rise out of them, lots more surface area of hot metal
But Iβve done big ones before too, that definitely looks a little flat haha, was it still soggy/custardy on the bottom?
Is that the Yorkshire on the left? Something looks off π but thatβs a solid spread, how was it all?
26.12.2024 19:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Mainly coz you make it with the beef fat, but we make them using oil instead with any roast meat usually, very common with our normal Christmas turkey too
26.12.2024 00:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Brad makes some mincemeat cookies that he has promised me multiple times but failed to deliver an equal amount π
Closest thing I can think of to a Yorkshire pudding over here is like a popover? Or a savory Dutch pancake?
How did your Yorkshire pudding turn out? Love that shit
26.12.2024 00:01 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Oh yeah all of that is pretty standard fare
Honestly half of that we would have almost every Sunday for roast dinner
normal enough, not like you see it next to the OJ in most stores but its regular enough
what recipes did you make?
its funny the amount of normal dishes that non brits think were just invented for the books lol, like just normal things we had always enjoyed :D
25.12.2024 23:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0i almost ordered that, then realized i don't go to any ugly sweater parties so eh.. :D
