Roughly 800 billion stars, a supermassive black hole at the center.

My favorite galaxy. Had it as my desktop background for years—finally shot it myself, and yeah… kinda hit me. 29M ly away and still brought a tear to my eye.

Yeah I hear you. Money is always a blocker. For the technical side...its several hours of YouTube tutorials. At first it's hard to not get flustered but once you see results and get used to it...it becomes an addiction 😂

Starbirth in Monoceros. Didn’t get as many clean subs as I hoped, but quite stoked with the result. 2,500ly of quiet chaos.

Do it! Its fantastic. A bit expensive to start though but the payoff is amazing...there's good starter options (seestar s50/s30...i use the s50: the dwarf 3), and theres a small learning curve for post processing but it's very doable. I started last October and I don't regret anything.

5M years old, 5,000 light-years away. A tight pack of newborn stars glowing in Canis Major. Clean, bright, and cosmic.
