M22 is a globular located in the constellation Sagittarius. With a diameter of about 97ly and composed of around 100,000 stars, it is one of the brightest and most famous globular clusters. Its age, estimated at around 12 billion years, makes it one of the oldest known.

Iโ€™ve had the #SeeStarS30 for almost a month, but only two clear nights, both with a full #Moon. I processed the data to show what can be achieved under light pollution with minimal integration. Acquisition times: #Andromeda 55โ€™,M42 1h40โ€™, Horsehead+Flame 55โ€™.Processed #Pixinsight

I used a smart telescope, the Seestar S50. The Moon, just above the horizon, is red. As it rises it slowly loses its color, going through various shades.

These are some of my #Moons๐ŸŒ™ The warm tones are due to the Rayleigh scattering phenomenon (the same effect that makes the Sun appear red when it nears the horizon),while the bluish tint is caused by daylight.
I hope you like them!๐Ÿ˜Š

Thank you so much Matthias ! I'm still a beginner in astrophotography...but one of the few things I know is that I must not burn the nucleus of M42 ๐Ÿ˜†

Many stars crowd the image, shining in shades of white, blue, and orange, and more closely concentrated at the center.

Bright blue stars are in a cluster at the center of the image. They are surrounded by a shell of brownish and burnt orange dust and gas. The shell has ridges that reach towards the stars like teeth. Stars within the dust and gas are hidden from Hubble but visible to Webb in the infrared. A number of more distant galaxies also appear in the background.

Ferocious stellar winds, likely from the bright blue star at the top of the image, are blowing through a curtain of dust. The fine dust scatters the starlight at blue wavelengths. Farther down, another bright, super-hot star shines through filaments of obscuring dust, looking like the Sun shining through scattered clouds. A diagonal string of fainter accompanying stars looks reddish because dust is filtering starlight, allowing more of the red light to get through. The bottom of the picture presents a keyhole peek deep into the dark nebula. Hubble captures the reddish glow of ionized hydrogen. It looks like a fireworks finale, with several overlapping events.

Fluffy tan-colored nebula clouds, with rust-colored highlights, surround a black central area. Within that area, the focal point of the image is one large yellow star with eight long thin points. To the right of this star is a bright star cluster in an oval shape. The stars within the cluster look like tiny pale blue sparkles. The cluster is more densely packed at its core and scatters outward. Towards the bottom of the image, multiple arms appear to spiral out of a cloudy tan knob. Taken together, the structures resemble a spider or a squid. Other blue and yellow eight-pointed stars, as well as distant galaxies, are dotted throughout the image. First test with the #SeeStarS30! I only captured 1,40h under a full Moon( ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ) and light-polluted skies(๐Ÿ˜ช).
I'm sharing:

It's a non-motorized dobson and not suitable for taking photographs so. I only took a few photographs of the Moon. Is yours goto?

The #OrionNebula ( #M42 ) is a stellar nursery in the constellation #Orion, about 1,350 light-years away. Itโ€™s a stunning target for stargazing and #photography on winter nights!
