Proudly "woke", left-leaning, sort of Green, Norwich City FC, Speedway, Trekker, Esophagectomy, achalasia, vintage clothing, Military surplus, mid-century, ceramics, art and mental illness sort of person.

Of course racism is normalised.

21.02.2026 13:38 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Photo by G. Solecki/A. Piętak of a small figurine of a bear carved out of amber between 9600 and 4100 BC. The amber is a deep translucent orange. The display lighting makes it glow in places. The bear's head is carved to show ears, mouth, nostrils and eyes. A hole runs through the bear’s torso, suggesting it was threaded onto a cord. Dimensions: Length 10.2 cm, Height 4.2 It was discovered in Słupsk during peat mining in 1887. According to the museum catalogue ‘’Shortly after its discovery, the figure underwent conservation work to restore its original appearance as it was covered with a layer of dull patina from the exposure to the minerals contained in the peat. Already at that time, at the end of the 19th century, it was assumed the restoration had gone too far. The figure was stripped entirely of patina, the anatomical features of the animal were emphasised, the eyes and nostrils were sharply drawn, and the amber was carefully polished”. In 2013, a competition was organised by the Education Department of the National Museum in Szczecin, for children to choose a name for the bear. The winning name was ‘Słupcio’,

A hole runs through the bear’s torso suggesting it was threaded on a cord, perhaps worn or carried as a protective charm.

So can we also apply this to Johnson? So many abuses of public office.

If you have a Royal Family, you have deference.
If you have a Royal Family, you have a class system.
If you have a RF, you essentially say, "These people are better than everyone else by dint of birth & should maintain enormous influence, wealth and power."
Why would anyone want that at all?
Duvall is superb in Falling Down. His genteel cop, on the cusp of retirement, representing a throwback to a better America that offsets the unhinged rage of the unhinged Michael Douglas white collar worker
A rare 90s film that has become relevant again in the age of MAGA and Internet trolls.
He’s talking about non-white people. He’s being racist. He’s very comfortable with the principle of immigration itself obviously, just as absolutely all these people are.

In towns across Britain we often see the same story: high streets, youth clubs, the places that shape a life, that bring different people together, that create the bonds of memory & pride, abandoned.

Profits margins of 19%. Money extracted in interest payments, intragroup charges. Children suffer.
Ban profit-taking entities from foster services.
Use of the word "motorists" is an immediate red flag. It conjures up an image of the driver donning a cap and tweed jacket in order to go out for a Sunday afternoon spin. It's a world in which pollution, traffic jams and injuries don't exist.
