My father used to say “You are a gentleman and a scholar” as part of expressing appreciation. Obviously Trump is neither, nor is he friends with any. I doubt he could properly define either word, they are concepts he could never grasp.

As much as I loathe to draw attention to the National Post, I think it's important to keep an eye on what they're up to. In this case, it's writing a piece that can be summed up with, "The stupid libs keep fear mongering about their bodily rights being taken away. Here's why we should do that."

There's too much in the piece to criticize in little 300 character posts, but it's a perfect encapsulation of the slow, creeping American insidiousness of this publication and we shouldn't turn away from it!

Agreed. Power and influence are both double-edged swords, and all world leaders engage in finger pointing and scapegoating when it suits them, including both for and against the U.S.

The U.S.A.’s oversized influence on the rest of the world does not make its president “THE Leader” of anyone outside the U.S., but thinking so is a common misconception. There are many other influential “leaders” in the geopolitical sphere not following U.S. at all

Genuinely curious who was the first to claim that the President of the U.S.A. is the “leader of the free world”. It has never been true, yet it gets repeated by Americans as if it were globally accepted fact. The rest of the world knows this is false and don’t believe in “American exceptionalism” 🤡

The correct form of “they’re” is used twice, which seems especially unlikely on social media where it seems fewer people know or care 🧐
