i listened to my friend (the owner) and her family debate emotionally about it for a little under an hour; they were worried about A) "making her suffer" by making her live and heal, versus B) she'll heal and live to adulthood disabled but fine

friend is raising some chicken babies and one got got by her cat

its alive but exhausted, broken leg and the wing on the broken leg's side was bit off at the elbow (i know its not *called* an elbow)

i took a good look and handled her and it seems fine, better than i expected even
