A budget outline for a project to honour pioneering gay folk duo Romanovsky & Phillips by having new artists (LGBT/Q focus) record their original songs. The sheet lists some broad categories of expenses, but their are not yet any dollar amounts- the info to calculate those amounts is being requested.

The description used to say funds were for "legal defense" which violates @gofundme.com TOS. That phrase has been removed, but there's nothing to suggest that is not still the intended use. I wonder if a GFM employee suggested the re-write rather than, you know, enforce the TOS.

NE1 get a screen grab of that GFM campaign that clearly violates the ToS before it was edited to remove reference to legal defense funds? Sure would luv to know if an employee their told them to change it rather than actually, you know, enforce their ToS.

I lived in Toronto (CDA) from 1978 until '96 when I moved down here. Different world now with interwebs- then we had to be out in the streets to make things change. Nostalgia of course blunts the trauma.

Because I spent decades masking, I presumed it was my gayness upsetting people- but it may've been bits of my ND peeking out and/ or my inauthenticity. Regardless, it was always their hang-up behind it. Sheeple herds.

I have all sorts of issues with "just be grateful" (search my blog for more) but there definitely are moments that remind me of how blessed I am.

In a convo with a friend they said that billion dollar lottery prizes reflect how a few million$ is no longer impressive. I calculate $100k would clear our debts, the taxes, and our move back to CDA. Perspective I guess.
