The Mamdani campaign goes to every registered Dem, and has/takes no primary-voting info. Vast majority of doors knocked do not answer, and get return visits until they indicate how they’ll vote on Nov 4th. Volunteer staffing levels, though, are super random and as changing as voter sentiment itself.

Mamdani doesn’t direct canvassers, he just organizes volunteers anywhere there are registered Dems. Canvassers’ choice where to go. Staten’s always been included in the list, but I assume canvasser interest in it has picked-up since polls showed him briefly tied with Cuomo there, before Adams left.
