We're taking on Prestwich and Heaton Park tonight, now all the fuss has died down. The Ostrich in HP made the most of it as they've still got a couple of outside bars up, one of which is called The Oscienda. 😄

But Cheese Snips* on the side is always a good call. 🙂

However...did see "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" when it first came out and they're definitely very thinky programmes. 🤯

Finished watching Dept Q tonight and only just got my breath back. There has to be a series 2. Such strong characters can't be left to go to waste.

It looks like it will have to be demolished but raises the question as to whether it should have been looked after in the first place. Who let this happen? Who didn't care for it enough?

No trip to The Masons today, but there was an exceptionally fabulous postbox topper over in Heaton earlier. Following on from their Winter offering I definitely think that the Heaton yarnbombers know how to bring the bling. 🙌

They just love them. This is Monty's downstairs apartment which he often curls up in. His upstairs one is a massive Lego box with a big arch cut in it for his door. 🐈‍⬛

He's still shy with other people but actually likes Pete now rather than just tolerating him. He's also got fresh catnip in the whirly green toy which he's just been trying to eat his way into, via the plastic. So yes, he's great. 🙂

Back at you from Monty. And yes he has destroyed his tunnel and we do need to buy him a new one. 🤷‍♀️

Was a bit miffed earlier this year when Netflixio upped their subscription cost and thought they'd better put some bloomin good stuff on. They have. Dept Q. Astonishingly great TV. Worth every penny. 👍

Unhappy Birthday to Me    It’s important to share, or so I’ve been taught,  to show kindness to others, to be a good sport.  But all of those teachings have taken a bump –  for I share my birthday with Donald Trump.    For years I knew not of this dark, dreadful fate,  and with ignorant bliss I honoured the date –  but then it got hijacked, sullied, gazumped  by a self-serving bigot, a foul gibberlump.     With him, I would share an infectious disease,  a mouldy bread roll, an infestation of fleas,  a romantic weekend at a toxic waste dump – but please, not my birthday, Mr. Tangerine Chump.    Alternative dates he’s welcome to try –   12th Febtember, 33rd July. Passed by Lower Rivington Reservoir earlier and spotted a number of cones on the shore. 'Imself was wondering what all that was about and I reckoned it was our version on Anthony Gormely's statues at Crosby beach.

It's been a while, but went to an actual gig tonight over at Ye Olde Man & Scythe in Bolton to see A Pencil. They were phenomenal. 🙌

It's surprising what you find round the back streets of Bolton these days. 🙂

Disappointing. However, the Trailblazer Stout on keg is usually pretty decent. 👍
