On this point, I think experienced “behind the scenes” type staff leaving hill positions/burnout post 2016 plays a role….experienced public servants are needed in staff roles.

Europe has way higher food quality regulations and induces you to walk or bike to places. Both are wholly unacceptable to any right-wing politician in the U.S.
