i have gotten the special unique alien blaster encounter in Fallout 1, 3, NV, and now 4.

if i dont get one in 2, that's the game's fault, not mine.

finally finished all of FO3's DLC. valuable learning experience that has taught me something important:

to set boundaries against Bethesda DLC that i dont want to play. i banish thee to the shadow realm, Nuka World.

Thinking about it more there's likely a better argument for Daggerfall With Guns. Already has hit chance combat, quest timers, procedural generation for a world map and not being expected to see beyond the highlights, just needs fast travel interruptions for random encounters... Hmmm.......

Although Fallout Bakersfield has hit chance mechanics so it's already halfway there, and likely the closest we can get for now.

i cracked the code. i figured it out. the correct way to remake Fallout 1 and 2 as real-time shooters.

Why do FO4's critical hits use a fighting game super meter. What's that about.

Oh boy. You know the quest Crowley gives you to kill some guys, get 3 keys, and you can get T-51b power armor? If you started that quest, grabbing the Winterized T-51b set from Operation Anchorage completely bugs it! Great DLC guys.

That whole big teaser event & casting announcement for JoJo Part 7 and they still haven't said if it'll be in batches or not? Pleeeeease be weekly..... please don't be cagey because you've already made up your mind about kneecapping the zeitgeist again...........

went with NCR. did whatever stuff felt worth the time (all DLCs & companion quests, plenty sidequests & exploring) and my play time is 127 hrs, easily rocketing up to my most played game on Steam.

i'll eventually do the rest of the endings and cheevos, but hope not to take as long when i do lmao

Finally finished my first playthrough of Fallout New Vegas yeah that's the best game ever.

Fallout 3's Operation Anchorage is crazy. All you have to do for the most busted power armor in the game--which you could beeline for the moment you're out of Vault 101--is play a few mid CoD levels? It's that easy???

the language used by various official sources about it is actually inconsistent enough that i dont know what to believe... Nintendo is Scary.......

It's pretty funny being a Linux user now because I look up tutorials intended for Steam Deck and it pretty much still applies to me. Feels like getting away with lying about the toppings of my lunch.

im just petty and hate the Duran Duran memes because The Man Who Sold The World is right there, is actually the song from the game, and got used in memes already before. Invisible, on the other hand, reeks of tourists.

Kind of relieved to see MGS Delta getting some scrutiny for its redundancy? Just wish we'd bring that energy to other remakes of already excellent games.

Felt similarly about the RE4 remake too, but at least that game isn't dead-on 1:1.
