#MolluscMonday with piping fresh mollusc photos from the weekend, this time we got the Velvet dorid (Jorunna tomentosa) as our featured species, this is one of the larger species found in Sweden, so often quite easy to spot.

What better way to start the week than with a cute little bobtail squid (unsure if Sepietta oweniana or Sepiola atlantica) for #MolluscMonday?
These cuties are present all year round, but prefer to be out after dark, which is hard in summer here

Who is featured this #WormWednesday? Well that would be the King ragworm (Alitta virens), sometimes known as Sandworm. While it may not reach the sizes of its sci-fi counterpart of Arraksis, it is a species that can grow to quite the size (20-30 cm according to Artfakta.se)

Oh Worm? Another week, another #WormWednesday, still no good worm photos this year, so I got a Sea mouse (Aphrodita aculeata) from last year instead for now.
In my opinion, it is one of the prettier polychaetes we got in the Nordic seas :)

Well would you look at that, it is #WormWednesday, sadly i don't got any good worm photos this year, but here, have a Oxydromus flexuosus (unsure if it has a English common name, in Sweden we call it "Green-white flailing worm") that i took a few years ago

"A dead harbour porpoise on the beach in Lรธkken, Denmark. Part of the net that it got entangled in is still visible. It's estimated that 900 harbour porpoises die every year as by-catch in the fishing industry. Photo: Lisbeth Cedray"
Scientists raise the alarm: Too many harbour porpoises dying in nets.
In Danish coastal waters over 900 die each year vs a 24 death limit that would keep Belt Sea population stable. In 2012 & 2016, there were around 40.000 individuals, by 2022, only 14.000 left.ย ๐งช๐ฆ๐
