Which one? Religious people with genuine questions or atheists who enjoy deconverting religious people? I’ve fortunately and unfortunately (in that order) known both.

They absolute do when they take joy in trying to show religious people inconsistencies and then are genuinely happy about upsetting them. If people have questions, they’ll ask. But atheist who like “deconverting” religious people are the same as evangelicals.

Re: antisemitism — I discovered the idea of the Khazars (there is some anthropological evidence a group of converts existed) & was so jazzed only to discover that people use the Khazars as an antisemitic talking point to say Ashkenaz Jews aren’t real Jews. Yall take the whimsy out of EVERYTHING.

I once read a fascinating dissertation arguing that Jesus may not have been Jewish (he might’ve been another Israelite religion) and couldn’t talk about it because someone would take that and make it antisemitic and then all the Christians who only care about Jews because of Jesus would turn.

Hot take, but if you’re upset about feeding into the “delusions” of people being transgender but are okay with the delusion of religion, don’t ever speak on trans issues again. One of these “delusions” actively creates legislation that harms women and the LGBTQ+ community while another doesn’t.
