It feels like I get TONS of views with much smaller population of followers and even a much much smaller population of buyers. I feel like we’ve moved into a scroll-happy social media society and further away from conversations.

This is interesting to read. I have noticed less from the cis boys club, but I also market my books as FEMINIST, so it keeps a lot of those types away (which is fine by me).

Yes! Would love to hear what’s working for others. I know I probably need to start making reels and doing some spoken word, but I do so much talking and video recording in my day job that it feels exhausting doing it for my writing.

2025 has definitely been rough all the way around. Marketing is my biggest issue as an indie author.

I definitely get more engagement on Threads, but I loathe Meta. 😭
