EUA has played an active role in this initiative through its participation in the policy advisory board, working groups. and ongoing feedback processes.
Second university cutting jobs today is the University of South Wales. In the medium term, the Welsh HE system is basically done with and gone unless there's a large-scale intervention. It's got no chance.

I find it really problematic that the managers are cutting academic staff who are at the core of the university - without them managers can pack their bags. 🤨
