this time there was a glitch (?) when i tried to navigate between drafts more quickly

i clicked on the "drafts" button to fix different wip (instead exiting and saving), then when i tried to go back to the first wip it was gone :(

★ originally (from wwx's pov) this was an angsty slowburn and i guess from lwj's it's a silly little bodice-ripper lmao

he just wants his baby brother to be happy and it all works out!

on a quiet evening, strolling through the town where they first met, wwx asks for lwj's hand in marriage, and lwj says yes

wwx goes from knight to royal consort and they adopt a bunch of kids + an infant (^^)

lxc wasted no time procuring the best measures of security for his dearest younger brother.

(AKA the knight that was willing to give up everything for lwj)

unfortunately lwj didn't get it when lxc said "invite that knight to the palace ;)" so lxc has to dust off some of his matchmaking skills

threats of assassination had come for lwj in multiple forms since lxc rose to the position of king, and he had subsequently taken the position of crown prince, next in line for the throne

since this most recent and almost successful attempt,

wwx taking lwj's hands in his, looking every bit the rugged gentlemanly knight he is: "Let me serve you."

lwj resisting the urge to faint dead in his arms:

lwj trying to repay his life debt to wwx by bringing him to the palace and making sure he'll never want for anything, and accidentally courting wwx in the process:

wwx trying to repay his life debt to lwj by treating his job as personal knight/bodyguard VERY seriously: what

even standing before him, wwx's posture speaks to his strength. the outline of the muscles in his arms show through his sleeves where his hands are clasped behind his back. lwj observes.

wwx flushes slightly. lwj wonders at how he can be so cute and so capable at once.

lwj thinks it's ridiculous wwx believes he would think LESS of wwx, now that he knows how long and hard wwx must have trained to reach knighthood.

"Nonsense. I admire Wei Ying for his character as well as his abilities as a knight. His training as a knight saved me that day."

he can still clearly picture how wwx looks with anger burning dark in his eyes, the tender way he wiped the spray of blood from lwj's face with his sleeve.

wwx's strength/confidence in his fighting abilities as a knight was what sparked lwj's (more carnal) attraction to him.

meanwhile lwj is gripping at his seat cushions remembering how wwx caught the assassin's dagger from behind and used it to slit their throat with no hesitation.

he's known about his attraction to men for some time, but it was definitely an awakening of some kind.
