Imported agricultural machinery cost more. Businesses aren't taking the big hits; they're passing most of the tariffs to customers/consumers.

It's good to have diverse energy sources in case one has to shut down. Anothe reason is some forms of clean energy will work better in other regions. Also, diverse energy sources avoids monopolization. Our grid is made around oil, and now supply shocks to oil affect the whole economy.

The thing I find most shocking about BlueSky is the amount of Doctor Who posts on here. Let me just show this off:
