One in four people globally (2.3 billion) face moderate or severe food insecurity, meaning they have to
regularly skip meals, which is up by 335 million since 2019.

Einkommen aus Arbeit wird höher besteuert als Millionenvermögen. Steuern und Abgaben auf verschiedene Einkommen in Prozent. Die Grafik zeigt die Steuersätze die etwa auf das durchschnittliche Vollzeit-Gehalt von Ingenieur:innen (37 %), Volkschullehrer:innen (32 %), Verkäufer:innen (28 %) anfallen, weiters zeigt sie auch den Steuersatz auf Kursgewinne aus Aktienspekulation (27,5 %), auf die Zinsen auf Erspartes (25 %) sowie bei Millionenerbschaften bei Immobilien (3,5 Prozent), sowie auf Millionenerbschaft Geld (0 %).

Der neue G20 Report von @josephestiglitz.bsky.social et al. warnt vor einem #Ungleichheits-Notstand. Gut ausgestaltete #Steuersysteme könnten die Verteilung von Einkommen und Vermögen gerechter machen. Doch in Österreich wird Einkommen aus Arbeit weiterhin höher besteuert als Millionenvermögen. 1/
