Yes. They offered to help because they were "moved by my story," then tried to redirect me to a WhatsApp account of a man who they said was an organization. Then when I asked if they were trying to scam me they asked what a scam is. Finally, when I declined they said they were "disappointed in me."

I know it's a joke, but I swear people think I'm stinky way more of the time than I actually am. I only sit in poopy diapers when I know for sure I'll be either alone or with a safe person for an extended period. Otherwise I change immediately. And minus minor leakage I only mess maybe twice a day.

The other issue is I personally put grain on my own images all the time so that didn't even parse as odd to me. I like how a warm tone and some fuzz make the image feel hazier and more dreamlike.

And people who read the books as kids and then grew up have nostalgia goggles on so massive that they just can't see what was wrong.

Her wizard books have this really deft sense of wimsey to them that makes it really easy not to think about the details of the world building. Especially since they're kids books, largely.

Like yeah some of the names are racist, but the average reader is white and 10.

I have generally been neutral on him, but what I know of his work didn't make me think there was anything weird.

I also liked JK's work for a long time though, and only upon rereading her books as an adult noticed all the weird stuff.
