In other news, I saw Book of Mormon on NYE. I wanted to correct a gap in my experience of the musical theatre canon, and a friend has a tradition of seeing it at this time of year. I enjoyed it: big cast, fun lyrics, energetic production. 4.5/5

It’s taken me a little longer than usual to warm to this Taskmaster series (S20). But I’m there now! Maisie’s particularly fun and Phil is particularly handsome.

Does it mean something, though? I’m trying to track when it’s used…

I’ve just devoured an almond cinnamon bun from Arket and it’s definitely among the best things I’ve put in my mouth this year. Late entry!

A quick trip to London to see Oh, Mary! I gave it 3.5/5 on my very unscientific scale: fun, silly, and chaotic in a deft, well-paced way. Giles Terera was, as he has been every time I’ve seen him, great.

Kiell Smith-Bynoe also makes it a pleasurable watch, for different reasons ;)

I’m a few episodes into series 15 of Taskmaster. Ivo Graham’s love of the show and warmth towards Frankie make it a joy to watch.
