most science fiction writers thought human behavior would be the wildcard
turns out the plot is less free will and more computational efficiency

weird effect i noticed that i suspect will become more common or named at some point:
incredible photos default to the ‘ai-generated’ category of the brain even when it’s clear they are real, and somehow feel devalued as a result in some way

did you see the frightened ones?
did you hear the falling bombs?
did you ever wonder why we had to run for shelter when the promise of a brave new world unfurled beneath a clear blue sky?

agi's arrival won't have a clear timestamp
its effects will accumulate, slowly warping reality
one day we'll look up and realize everything has changed
