I'm better off miserable, living in uncertainty, nuance, and doubt, than taking a side in self-righteous moral certainty, shamelessly invoking history as my witness.

I have the same problems, hard to fall asleep, wake up early and cannot go back to sleep. Solution 1 : Read til you fall on your book, Solution 2 : Meditation ( just simple breath-in, breath-out & try not to hold on any thoughts passing)
Solution 3 : Get up and recount past failures while eating ;)

Ai doomers also carry their responsabilities, their fear mongering have consequences on public opinion and futur regulations. Most important is how they contribute to the feeling of emergency and sense of ineluctability of AI.

This question raises the issue of culpability VS responsability. They surely are guilty of theft, but we all are responsible of our actions. If a writer choose to work with open Ai or other he's not guilty of anything, but he must own his actions and the consequences they might have.

Writers and editors hate AI for stealing their writings. You can prevent further theft by adding :
User-agent: GPTBot
Disallow: /

In the robots.txt file at the root of your web servers. You can protect yourself if you don't want to train the next models.

You might want to read the rest of my answers to this, or not. I was talking about where we are with language and writing, and how AI is changing our relation to it, as other tech evolution did in the past. But like I said, being judgmental rarely gets you anywhere.

What I meant was simply that things change, it does not have to be judged good or bad. I don't know how to put it differently, what made you tick?

Well, it does not need a specific goal or target to flow. It just does, now we evolve with tech soon we'll evolve with tech within us. Our current use of AI, Llms, external agents is a proto form of techno symbiosis,

But I gain zero engagement, maybe it was because of this or maybe I'm just a shitty writer. You'll tell me ;)

Seems like the blue sky #writingcommunity does not care much for anonymous faceless accounts. Too bad. Different approach then.
Hi I'm Jeremy and am a bookaholic, I'm here to write and share my passion about books, poetry and philosophy.
I hate labels, they are only good to train ML algorithms.

Completely different topics. Nft was an already finished product that was just not viable, and very stupid. Ai has been here for quite some time, is ever evolving, but, yes a lot of people surfing the wave, selling bullshit cause it's the only thing they are good for.

5# and yes the risk of being crushed under capitalism's will is real, but isn't it already? If the collapse has already happen, what is there to fear? Be true, write what matters to you, read, love and hope.

4# poetry, literature, philosophy, the Langage itself will continue to evolve. Writers will create new forms of expression, dismantling idioms, reshaping structure and culture itself.

3# Evolution always finds a way ; techno symbiosis is on the path of Transhumanism, it will emerge. each evolution is both the end of something and the beginning of something else, two worlds will coexist, slowly merging for quite some time.

A few thought about this and the comments about it : 1# being judgmental on people working with these firms won't help one bit as it never does.
2# let's not mistake creative writing with content marketing. If people like to read/watch shit they will read AI shit, no difference here.

A good conversation is a conversation in which changing someone's mind is not the point.

High school lovers in the train, she just want a kiss, is longing for it. To proud or prude, he acts like he doesn't see it. Love is cruel. Perfect illustration of Lacan's definition of Love : Giving something we don't have to someone who doesn't want it
