The new version has a more practical interior layout, and is considerably faster and more maneuverable. But it still feels like I’m flying something massive. I like it.

Cascadia has seven reactors and four Kinostream thrusters. Exactly 100 pieces. It’s an evolution of a similar design that had a pair of twin dynamo jet engines and the cockpit placed four decks up in the aft section of the ship. It looked great but was a pain to get in and out of.

ECV-2 Cascadia.

I tried out #NoMansSky in PSVR2 this weekend. It was absolutely incredible…and yet I won’t be playing it that way. It’s just not comfortable for long sessions, it’s a nuisance trying to refer to and take notes, and the cats *really* don’t like it.

Although I’m a bit baffled here — I tried like crazy to get my landing bay to open to the front without any success. I wonder what I was doing wrong?

“He’s out of his fucking mind,” in combination with “he’s a piece of shit,” has summed him up since the 80’s, at least.

I mostly play on PS5 these days, and that one’s definitely on my radar. It’s been suggested that I should wait until I’m in the mood for something daaaarrrrk.

Currently obsessed with No Man’s Sky, and it’s big enough that it may last the rest of my life…or at least until Light No Fire is released.

Screenshot of text pulled from the article: “Appelbaum notes a striking statistic about the 2016 presidential race: ‘Among white voters who had moved more than two hours from their hometown, Hillary Clinton enjoyed a solid six-point lead. In 2016, I was still on Facebook and had connections with many people from my hometown. I kept saying that it seemed like the people who had moved away (like me) were solidly on the left, while those who hadn’t were very much on the right. Seems I wasn’t imagining that. apple.news/AJYxmVVgLQQu...

I may have seen Brazil more times than “Holy Grail” or “Life of Brian,” and yes, it’s more relevant now than ever.

So I finally bought No Man’s Sky, looking for something less grim than Fallout 4. I love it. I’m going to be spending a lot of time in that universe. Lately I’ve been flying this interceptor, “Some Disassembly Required.”

Decided to try living with an iPad Pro as my only personal computer. Anticipated having to buy some apps to fill in gaps in functionality. So far it’s going pretty well.

The one place it falls apart so far — importing CDs into Music. I may need to keep a MacBook around just for that, which is dumb.

Well, it took them 20 years after Kitzmiller v Dover, but with the Dept of Education decision, the creationists may have finally won their war on science education.

Straight up one of my favourite games of last year, it is magnificently atmospheric and moody, a phenomenal soundtrack, and an incredible gameplay loop that is surprisingly relaxing, punctuated by moments of sheer panic.

A momentous day! After 14 months and a few thousand miles, my battery diagnostic period is finally over and it can fully charge! (Now to program it so that it only charges to 80% unless I actually need the range.)

I’m a little surprised Apple didn’t make a bigger deal about the Journal app coming to iPad, since being iPhone-only was one of the biggest criticisms about it.
