Unfortunately, Newsom vetoed SB 418 (Ensure Equal Access to Care for All). However, the bills he did sign are a huge step forward in trans rights for Californians—and we can fight again another day. Together, they strengthen the privacy protections to reduce the risk of doxxing for #trans Californians, and they streamline the name and gender change process.

The HHS is now telling medical centers to adhere to their latest sham report on transgender healthcare which literally says is not a treatment guideline.
They’re sending this letter to hospitals in blue states and threatening them unless they stop trans care.

I have a huge request for my readers: Trump's tax and spending bill will be moving through the Senate. Senators can invoke the Byrd Rule to try to remove the anti-trans Medicaid ban and EHB changes.
You can find and call your senator here and ask them to do that.

This weekend 6 of us went to Quest House in Oakland to do some gardening and housework. Our monthly volunteer days are a great way to get involved with mutual aid and build community with trans people and allies! (1/2)
