This might be an unpopular opinion but Silent Hill 4 is the one that scared me the most. Walter chasing you a big part of the game made me very anxious and some enemy designs are very creepy. The ghosts that don't die are also very stressful.

Overall the game was creepy and it did made me jump a few times which I really liked. However I wouldn't say it was the scariest SH game, and I think the tough enemies are to blame. I was more dreading meeting strong enemies than paying attention to the creepy things happening around me.

Now some negative:
- Combat could be polished and the difficulty brings nothing besides tediousness. I hope the next SH doesn't try to follow up on this soulslike trend.
- Lack of enemy variety. They look mostly great but you get tired quick of fighting the same ones over again.
