Tired of video creators dictating the word "content creator". Seen too many tech reviews saying a device "isn't for creators" while only testing video processing. While in real word there's writers, illustrators, coders and all kinds of other creators who don't care about exporting time at all.

ok so it's back on! entire migration for my instance took around 1.5h, not including rebuilding timeline time.

It's only 5.8G data after compression why is it taking so long TAT (Yeah, still restoring after 1.5 hours...)

Restoring postgres for my small (<1000 active users less than 4 years of mastodon usage) instance is taking more than an hour now. You gotta appreciate all the commercial platform's seamless migration for their gigantic dataset.

Migrating my mastodon instance for the second time rn... The most time consuming task is dumping/restoring postgres. Wishing there's a better migrating mechanism as the platform grow.
