If there is or has been random retaliatory violence from the right it’s kind of unfortunate that I don’t even trust ‘liberal’ media who immediately went about sanitizing Kirk’s reputation and who genuflect to Trump and constantly obey in advance.

I feel crazy telling people that the right has been trying to get queer people fired and engaging in absurd cancel culture for decades, like, if anything, this is just a return to form.

Unlike the gun that shot Charlie Kirk, I am not going to be fired.

Miss me with the people saying “violence has no place in our society” as they cheer the military brutalizing civilians, people in Gaza being massacred, and migrant workers being killed in ICE raids. Violence ‘is’ our society.

The MAGA response to the letter and the excuses is so perfect, they’re like “We know you’re lying, sir, but please, lie better. It’s okay that you’re a pedophile but we need you to give us better lies to work with.”

The most cynical part of me believes that these people were always anti-trans and saw this as a golden opportunity to excise us from the public sphere, the not so but still cynical part thinks they are basically just soulless marketing execs who go wherever they think the wind is blowing.

They’re essentially validating the hallucinations these people have been experiencing since 2015 and by doing this are really saying that things like trans characters in media, someone using they/them pronouns, or children socially transitioning are ‘going too far.

A really insidious part of the Democrats using their own failure as an excuse to throw trans people under the bus for “going too far” is that a lot of the shit they’re referring to is just fantasies the right made up like banning the word mother, genital surgery on kids, litter boxes in school.

If billionaires are going to flee NY then maybe we should just tax them more no matter where they go 😲

If this were First term age Trump at the top of his game he would’ve just been like “Biden threw away the Epstein list! He deleted all the files! They got the call from Hillary to use the auto-pen and erase it all!” and he would be in the clear with the hogs.

There’s also a type of Democrat that just assumes the groups they threw under the bus didn’t vote for Kamala and blames them all for the loss while reveling in the harm inflicted on them like it’s punishment. I’ve seen this about trans and pro-Palestine people.

The way democrats smugly celebrate people’s suffering under Trump is so gross, especially because they make no effort to get up and help, they just cross their arms and say “should’ve voted for Momala” and then wait for the next election.

Americans have a bias toward musicals, so I think US cinema needs to have a sort of Bollywood era where songs just fuckin happen in the middle of otherwise non-musical movies to normalize it.

I’m not sure how this relates to my post apart from it being Krystal, but yeah the way tribalistic dems immediately lied that it was “fully debunked” caught me off guard even though I have low expectations for that type of party line toeing Dem.

It’s not ‘strategic’ to say certain people should be essentially blocked from candidacy because you don’t think bigots will vote for them. You’re literally just being a white supremacist at that point, and I’m sure similar arguments were made about Obama.
