For a single node cluster k3s is the easiest. For a multi-node one (I need it for a demo platform) I use Lima VMs and Ansible to install everything into them. It's good to have multiple thin-provisioned disks 1 TiB each on you laptop πŸ˜‰

This is from the _book_ "Forrest Gump" by Winston Groom, which I finished recently. The book is written in 1986, and the events described in this scene are happening in the 1970s.

"angertainment" is a new word I learned from @kelseyhightower.com on the @fafo.fm podcast. It's a very precise word!

An old man on his porch whittling all day = quintessential Americana, poignant, evocative of western expansion

An old man on his porch scrolling all day = contemptible, unnatural, indicative of societal collapse

Pittsburgh is at 1,233 ft above sea level. I don't think it makes a lot of difference if we are talking hundreds of miles.

It's either one antenna at 382 miles and the other at the ground level, or two antennas at ~100 miles each, in LA and Pittsburgh

382 miles high -- this is where you should put your antenna in LA to get a line of sight to Pittsburgh, according to my calculations πŸ˜‰

I guess they want to generate a key for that number and store it _somewhere_. And a record in contacts is the most obvious place for that. Just my guess.

Stop saying that one programming language is better than another. It all depends what you want to do.

When you want to fight with a borrow checker, use Rust. When you want to guess which esoteric tsconfig some lib requires, try TypeScript. When you feel like yelling at a package manager, do Python.
