Could have been another funny, teen-band Irish movie I'm thinking of The one where Wilson Pickett makes a cameo:-)

"What we had taken so actively in believing in was to bring us . . . [to] the brink of the abyss, yet as I look back I see nothing but our excuses . . . . we held ourselves comfortably clear of the worst horror that in the past had attended the life of nations." -Henry James, Essay on Writing (1915)

Getting there one hour at a time:-) Tomorrow will cable up the Martin Logan sub and bookshelf speakers. Am gonna actually read the manual so I know how to get the most out of Audacity when burning mp3 files from vinyl. Bought 8 risers. May need four more. Trial and error.
Are banana plugs worth it?

Irish writing in English is by definition Resistance.
Too few African-Americans understand that being BLACK is resistance, POTUS or otherwise.

cat paws - Google Search
It got to be a habit, our home-coming ritual.
I walk in the door, pat my shoulder, cats do that cat-shit:
Eyes predator-wide open.
Tail wags-straight.
LUNGE.
Cats funny people.
Cat-Tricks:
Cat-tail-stub thump.

Do that three/four times.

Context: Am 64.
CDs didn't exist when I was born.
1979 was a golden age of LP reissues.
I still had a turntable.
When CDs zone-flooded, I transitioned to a Harman Kardon dual CD burner.
2025, bought an AT turntable, and am binge-ing $1 LPs of the music I grew up on.
Just wanna digitize that.

I downloaded Audacity, months ago.
After a free trial I wasn't happy with, I specifically intended to use it with my new Audio Audio-Technica AT-LP120XUSB-BK Convert Vinyl to Digital turntable.
Went out and bought dozens of classic vinyl LPs.
What Audacity sound quality headaches should I expect?

Got an AT turntable--brand new in the box--at a local pawshop I trust. Brand new, in-box unit, $200.
Gonna go on Amazon right now and buy risers to avoid feedback hum.
I have a Logan Martin sub.
What bookshelf speakers do you recommend as an upgrade from my decent Polks or POS Insignias?
