Ooof. I didn’t know much about RCI. The way it distinctly connected CA with the world, evaded blocking by restrictive govs to get news out is as relevant as ever.

There needs to be more integration of primary care training, sure, but I’d say most of our non-primary care roles require skill in team based care. Bridging knowledge gaps about and between health professionals is critical, supports integrated care, and benefits providers and patients.

IME - Allied health are absent, excluded from or siloed in these spaces, or the physician/leadership lacks understanding of how OUR roles work and can support care. Under-utilized for sure! Like an after thought rather than a key component of supporting someone’s complex, unique health care needs.

HRNA are calling for the federal gov’t to:

1️⃣Rescind Bill C-2.
2️⃣Reject forced “treatment.”
3️⃣Fund health, housing, harm reduction & Indigenous healing.
4️⃣Legislate equity-based public health.
5️⃣Meet HRNA Board in 30 days.

Really enjoying the recent nicotine and tobacco content! Recently started in a new peer-led program for tobacco smoking cessation/harm reduction for 2S/LGBTQ+ folks. After primarily focusing on other substances for so long I have a policy learning curve for tobacco.

Canadians clutching their pearls about ICE barely know the Liberals are pushing through a bill right now giving the gov the ability to check your mail, get your IP and internet history, and makes immigration and asylum seeking way more difficult

How else will you know they’re on their way to go sport fishing?!
