I feel so damn sick. I'm coughing up crap constantly, can only breathe through my nose sporadically, and just feel incredibly worn out and drained.

But life continues and work needs done and kids need homeschooled and teenagers need wrangled into doing their chores.

So I keep going.

I grew up on a steady diet of Isaac Asimov, Piers Anthony, and Harry Harrison, along with healthy servings of Diane Duane and Christopher Golden. Oh, and lots of Mark Twain, Rudyard Kipling, Edgar Allen Poe, and O Henry as treats.

She got home safely. I had to get up to put the 7 year old back to bed after. That was at four in the morning. I had to get up at 7:45 to get the teens ready for my boyfriend to take them to school, since my wife has no car. Now I'm home schooling the 12 year old. I still have work tonight.

Still not asleep. I was about to take my meds when my wife called to let me know that she had misjudged a U turn and her car was in a ditch. I'm waiting up while she walks home. Tomorrow we'll see if my boyfriend's SUV can pull her car back onto the road.

I am exhausted after two and a half hours of overtime this morning, and should be in bed, as my alarm goes off in six hours, but I just watched our beloved idiot orange cat attempt to stalk and pounce his equally brainless grey brother and it was adorable.

I realized only after completing the thread that I used assure instead of ensure... My BA in English is crying...

Once the school year ends, she will be allowed to participate in normal summer activities.

She will not be allowed on electronics until it is outside of the house she would have been at school and all assignments for the day are complete and correct. If she completes all of her assignments before she would have finished school, then we will work on her reading and penmanship.

Decision regarding consequences, as decided by her Dad and I:
All work that she would have had for the remainder of the year will be brought home and completed.
Assignments will be broken into days and I will tutor her and assure that all assignments are completed and correct for the day.

The 12 year old decided to call 911 from the school office phone today and insists that it was an accident. Given that this is the second time she's done this, doubtful does not even begin to describe my thoughts. It has resulted in her being suspended for the rest of the school year.

Most of my local friends/companions will work to keep my disabled ass alive purely because I can crochet, knit, and sew, along with the vast store of knowledge that I have on plant and animal husbandry due to growing up on a farm.

Adding on, if you are wheelchair bound, do what you can to get an off-road capable chair. Having had to try and navigate some badly broken/damaged pavement in a standard transport chair, you definitely want something that can handle road breakdown.
