Hezbollah supposedly withdrew to North of the Litani river, so if they're just hitting some equipment, why the big explosions?

Seems something at that site was highly explosive/flammable?

If so, Hezbollah is violating the cease fire terms and that's a legitimate target.

Has Noem checked out the price of SB tickets?

The only "illegal immigrants" will be Republic donors buying (or sleeping) their way into citizenship.

This was always a bad strategy, they're doing it to placate the Democratic Left, that just elected Trump by alienating Independent voters.

Trump simply doesn't care if the government shuts down, how do you blackmail a guy who say print the pictures?

It should stay closed.

There is no chance for DACA or support for legal immigration as long as illegal immigration is uncontrolled.

Biden administration screwed immigrants already in the country by failing to address this issue early in his tenure b/c he didn't want to take on the Progressives.

I think these brave people should now command a caravan to help the starving Africans in the Sudan. I'm sure they'll receive humane treatment from the RSF.

Since when is observing (and that's what photography is) criminal when it doesn't involve trespass?

The whole concept of "hate crime" is a bad idea - either it's assault or other criminal behavior or it's free speech. Gov should not be deciding which speech is acceptable.

What Pete Hegseth Doesn’t Get About Combat Real warriors don’t have to be muscle-boundβ€Šβ€”β€Šand they don’t always need to be male

Hegseth lecturing officers, some of whom were in 3 wars.

Hegseth was not a front-line leader of combat troops under sustained fire. He did not command an infantry company in protracted combat or lead exhausted soldiers through night patrols and firefights.

Melodrama.

The new reality is that Israel is now an "Arab" state, its politics are driven by descendants of Arab Jews and Russians.

No one in the Arab world cares about Kurdish self-determination or UAE financing the slaughter of Africans in the Sudan.

They'll work things out with Israel as well

What the heck is the 'radical Left?'

The Progressive Left isn't exactly radical, silly and naive (pretending there's an unlimited bucket of funds out there), but otherwise pretty conventional.

Antifa? A couple hundred idiots who like to pretend they're the vanguard of the "Revolution".

Welp. Time for Trump to have a neurological exam.
He's slipping into Alzheimer type delusions.

Even Hamas knows they can't destroy Israel with Hezbollah in tatters and Iran exposed as a paper lion.

So what are they fighting for?
Not Gaza, not the Palestinians.

To maintain control to extort money so they don't have to give up the income that allows them to pretend to be the resistance

Does this extend to teachers who call Jan 6 a "peaceful protest" instead of a riot?

Kinda late for the "snowflakes" to embrace free speech.

Of course, since the Left was never popular enough to win elections (only moderate Democrats win national elections), it relied on social pressure instead of government coercion - but same principle, free for me but not for thee.

That's cute. And who is going to run that state?
if you're a Palestinian, after the Israelis withdraw, don't hold your breath waiting for European aid.
And if Hamas stays in power, forget the Gulf states, other than Qatar.

When are they going to recognize Kurdish statehood?

Redistricting can be an opportunity for Democrats - since they were a powerless minority before, having to run in distracts that aren't "safe" should select for more acceptable candidates statewide - creating a pool of candidates far more attractive than say O'Rourke.

The simplest cure would be to require tenure and promotion committees to only consider 3? articles or 1 book, and actually read them. Quality over quantity.

If they aren't competent to judge a colleague's work in their area of expertise, they shouldn't be on that committee.

The watershed moment was when Trump pardoned the Jan 6 rioters who attacked police, making political violence acceptable.

Did Cox criticize that move?

You can't be a Christian Nationalist and a Conservative.

An American Conservative respects the Constitution and our history, and our Founding Fathers were adamant when it came to separation of Church and State.

Kirk was a Reactionary, harking to an imaginary past.

"The Dance Band on the Titanic, nearer my God to Thee"

Musk has already alienated most of his potential customers, a little late to stop his fascist tendencies.

The self-driving cars, given his propensity to move quickly and break things, he'd better have some really good tort lawyers.

The profile he really fits is that of school shooters, etc., unhappy young men full of rage and no idea where to channel it - and seduced by the notoriety that comes with a killing that captures media attention.

How many people died from illegal vapes last year?

I mean THIS is the issue that the federal government makes a priority?

Guess they couldn't find enough violent immigrants for a show trial.

10.09.2025 23:25 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Maybe I'm confused.

What's the difference between an Islamic Fundamentalist and a Christian Nationalist?

Neither respects anyone who doesn't believe the way they do and want to enforce their beliefs upon others by force.

08.09.2025 18:09 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

No. I'm talking about identifying whether the bombing is indiscriminate or targeted at Hamas facilities. Whether the IDF blew up building for spite or b/c they were booby trapped.

You can find that out in Israel, or Ukraine or . . .
But not in Gaza.

A real journalist would ask these questions.

It's all performative, Trump just wants to get a reaction from the Left. Don't bite.

Best way to deal with it, a combination of ridicule, sympathy for NG being pulled out of their lives, and constantly asking how much it costs and why not spend that money on more police through block grants?

08.09.2025 17:50 β€” πŸ‘ 6    πŸ” 2    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Why are they even in Lebanon?

For 2 decades they watched Hezbollah militarize S Lebanon in violation of the agreement they stay north of the Litani river. They lacked the power to stop it, but failed to report it either.

Basically as useless as tits on a bull.

05.09.2025 20:40 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

This is where the focus should be, the waste of money and the disruption to the lives of the Guardsmen, not "performative politics."

Focus on the stupidity of spending the money on deploying the NG instead of helping Chicago hire more police.

No hysterics, just common sense.

05.09.2025 20:35 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Hezbollah will never disarm, as a political party they have no appeal to the rest of Lebanon.

And the LAF will never disarm them.

Israel will strike any armed Hezbollah south of the Litani River and any stockpile of missiles they can locate. They will never allow Hezbollah to threaten them again.

05.09.2025 20:01 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

They've tried "performative politics" - and it's a dismal failure.

Elections have consequences, and moving to the Left of voters has consequences.

The Democrats either become a centralist party, or a new party will form that will engage the center, which is the majority of American voters.
