LGR - public engagement.
Weβre seeing different approaches starting to go live now - and delays in areas recently changed administration. With no clear steer from government on what good (or even good enough) looks like, itβs no wonder. Drop me a line if you fancy a chat or just to offload! #LGR

I donβt know what to say to those I know (or donβt know) working in
Derbyshire, Kent, Lancs, Lincs, Notts, Staffs, Doncaster, North Northamptonshire, Durham and West Northamptonshire councils or Greater Lincolnshire and Hull & East Yorkshire CAs, other than your peers are here for you.

Good luck to the 23 councils and six mayoralties up for election this week. So much work and process and politics and tension. Of course you wouldnβt have it any other way but I hope it all goes smoothly. An interesting and in some areas worrying time, I feel.

Are you basing your public and stakeholder engagement on the Gunning Principles? If not, you need a rethink.
They provide a basis on which meaningful consultation can take place and, followed well, reduce the risk of legal challenge to your engagement process.
