At long last, Beth Zaiken’s spectacular He’ll Creek mural is permanently installed in the Sue gallery!

It's been a while since my current stuff but way back in high school, I made a puppet of G2-9T from Star Tours.

Listen to/Living with The Land gets a free pass for having an actual greenhouse (same with the Living Seas pavilion’s aquarium) and so the science was literally alive. Universe of Energy got a facelift in the 90s but the science discussed within was pretty similar in both

I would lose my ever loving mind if somebody made a hybrid paleontology/health science exhibit that emphasized physiology and histology of fossils. (And if it already exists please, someone send me a video)

It’s also worth mentioning that the original design philosophy of classic Epcot was to β€œinform, entertain, and inspire” all at once. Not to say that there aren’t exhibits that do all of those things though, plenty do

24.09.2025 22:44 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Very few of the Epcot exhibits really emphasized up to date science, which is why they’re better off being considered separate from a museum type exhibit. Some of them, like Frontiers of Medicine in Wonders of Life were updated regularly but then closed when the pavilion lost its sponsor

It feels like what would happen if somebody tried to modify an Epcot Pavilion by removing the rides and adding some fossils and extra interactive displays. (which would still be a cool experience tbh)

While I must admit that while LOT is severely lacking in comparison to other exhibits from its time like Prehistoric Journey or Deep Time, it looks so aesthetically pleasing. It feels like an explosion of Utopian Scholastic aesthetics (which also didn't survive past 2004)

I was asked yesterday to post a walkthrough of Life Over Time, the shortest-lived and generally weirdest iteration of the Field Museum’s fossil halls. If you visited between 1994 and 2004, this is the version you saw. I’ve got some time, so let’s do this.

Best of all, there is a wide variety of prehistoric fauna to choose from. Don't care for drawing dinosaurs? No problem! This collab, much like the exhibit it's based on aims to show a sampling of a little bit of everything during life on earth. (3/4)

The idea of this collab is to artistically re-imagine fossil mounts and displays seen in the fossil collections of one of my all time favorite museums. The more styles, the better (2/4)

I've noticed that in almost every photo set of the Sue travelling exhibit, there's at least one shot from Denver. I guess it must have been really popular there!
