I'm gonna start the conversation with our doctor when I go to pick up my accommodation paperwork next week. In BC your PCP can do both hormone readiness assessments AND prescribe T as long as they feel comfortable doing so. I don't know if he is or not but even then he can refer me to someone else

The only people we have left to tell are our bosses (which I know will go over well because they have a trans kid) and our extended family which I'm not as sure about BUT honestly their opinions don't matter as much. All of the important people in our life are going to know and I'm so relieved

🃏 You guys!! Popping in to report that we officially came out as trans to both our parents and can start working towards our medical transition now :') We didn't want to start the process for getting on T until we found the right time to tell them both but now it's done and nothing is stopping us

Also just for the record this guy proudly admitted that he asked his vet for the prescription and just straight up told them what he was gonna do with the meds and was GENUINELY CONFUSED as to why they wouldn't give it to him. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU???? BROTHER THAT IS NOT THE FLEX YOU THINK IT IS

It went super well!! We met up at a restaurant in her town and had lunch and then she got to check out our dad's new car (1975 Lincoln Mark IV if you're curious, it's nice af) It was short and sweet bc she gets tired quickly and my cousin just got off night shift but it was so good! She's the best 😭

It makes me sad to see how much she's declined health-wise over the last few years since we saw her though. Last time she was up walking around and cooking and now she's mostly blind and needs help with her mobility. I gotta make a point of going down to visit her more often, I love her so much 💚

It's always crazy as hell when I see them too because we look SO MUCH like our auntie it's kinda like looking into a mirror and seeing how I'm gonna look in 50 years. She also got me, our partner, and our dad a little Easter basket with chocolates and liquor and shit like fuckkk she's so cute 😭

🃏 Crying in the club rn, I just got to see our auntie and cousin for the first time in a couple years and it was so lovely, we missed them so much :') They're the only people from our dad's side of the family who we talk to/have met and they're both so fucking sweet man

Me and the girl I went out to the smoke pit with every time we had a break making dead eye contact from across the room the second we heard "does anyone smoke? do you know how to blow rings?" is gonna stick with me for a minute I think

🃏 Never in my life did I think I would have to explain how to blow smoke rings to a class full of first aid students but that is in fact something I had to do today because according to my instructor giving rescue breaths to a baby really ain't too far off

Lowkey makes me want to take OFA-3 (highest level before you start getting into paramedic certifications) if this guy teaches it because a) that shit looks real good on a resume and b) I'm having fun with this ngl... Gonna look into naloxone training and violence prevention training too :)

This guy is so fucking funny too, I didn't expect to get a combo pack of first aid knowledge and stand up comedy today but I'm definitely not bitching

It was really fucking obvious that he was just being purposefully mean because his friend was there and thought it was funny, because he normally doesn't talk to me like that but ohhhh my god it was the most childish high school bully ass shit that I have seen from a grown man in a hot second

Ironically enough I also can't tell whether or not he made a subtle jab about my physical disability because surprise!!! I can't tell whether or not he just said what he said or if there was additional meaning between the lines that I missed out on because I can't!!! Fucking!!! Tell!! LOL!!!
