I feel your pain. I use an app called Offline Diary for 99% of what I do. I put everything in there with personal hashtags for each of my projects. I don't try to have a specific time to write, i just write when it happens.

I write because therapy is expensive and fictional characters don't interrupt.

Max couldn't find a station to listen to, he needed something to occupy the silence. He kept telling himself that no news was good news. The last shot of rye was as smooth as the first, thankfully it was the last. The phone battery was at 34% and as long as nothing else had to be done. Another hour gone from his life he wouldn't get back while he waited for sunrise and the inevitable news.

The plan was in play, Max had nothing else to do, but sit still and be patient. Two things he wasn't good at.
